Seddon Gear Up For Multimillion Pound Project

J & S Seddon Building is due to build the first care home secured under a multimillion pound contract that will see the construction company build up to 15 developments across the UK.

The national construction company has secured a five year partnering agreement with London-based residential and nursing care home provider, Bondcare.

Under the deal, J & S Seddon Building - and another building contractor, Shaylor Construction - will create 30 state-of-the art, new care homes.

Work on the first care home to be built under the framework contract starts on a brownfield site in Nottingham in September, carried out by the construction team from J & S Seddon’s Birmingham office.

The 72-bed Design and Build project will take12 months to complete.

Two other sites have also been allocated by Bondcare to J & S Seddon Building, in the West Midlands. The three sites represent a combined contract value totalling approximately £12 million.

Alan Nixon, managing director of J & S Seddon Building, said: “Winning this partnership is a great boost to us and provides continuity of work for five years.

“This gives both parties the opportunity to maximise the benefits of long term collaborations and the cost value benefits this will bring.”
