Seddon Opens New Office In Telford
LEADING construction and maintenance company J & S Seddon has opened a new base in Telford.
The company expects to create seven new jobs, to service a £2 million contract for Telford and Wrekin Council.
J & S Seddon – who already has a painting office in the town - has won the two-year contract, worth £1 million a year, to provide maintenance to the council’s Property Investment Portfolio.
The portfolio, extending to more than 800 properties, contains a mix of industrial and commercial premises.
J & S Seddon have opened a new base on Tweedale Industrial Estate where operatives are able to offer a rapid response to requests for repairs.
Andy Thomas, Project Manager for Seddon Maintenance Limited, said: “As our Stoke-on-Trent depot is situated over 40 miles away it made sense for us to invest in a base over in Shropshire so that operatives can work from there to provide not only a speedier service but also to allow us to reduce our carbon footprint.
“Our new maintenance depot, on the Tweedale Industrial Estate, is right at the heart of the properties we are serving so I am sure tenants will be reassured that, in the event of any maintenance issues, we are close at hand.”
